Ran my 3 miles tonite … fartlek style.

What is Fartlek?
Fartlek comes from the Swedish word which means ‘speed play’. It refers to a kind of workout in which the runner accelerates sporadically then slows down again with no particular structure. It is a kind of freestyle interval training which includes spontaneous bursts of speed depending on how the runner feels.

I just ran  longest lap ever…. 19.2 Km on a treadmill at Friskis&Svettis  … man I feel drained!!!

Did this weeks cross training in water – Nye Bislett Badwww.nyebisletbad.no.

Completed week 1 s toughest test

Ran the 10 mile (16 km) on a treadmill at Friskis & Svettis.  Actually the longest I have ever ran I think……I have got blisters. Hope its only temporary ( well got my new running shoes yesterday New Balance M767.) 
These shoes better do the job!!!!

No running shoes for me today as I was too late – didnt get to the renowned store Løplabbet in time.

Hey – but I couldnt let that stop me so went on the treadmill with my old basket shoes running a 7.5 k.  I ll spend a LOT of time in my local  Friskis &Svettis gym in the next three months….

Ahhhhhhh…. nothing like waking up and you know in the back of your mind that you can go and take a shower….. A NORWEGIAN SHOWER…. i.e. Power shower with water that doesn’t smell of chlorine. Sorry for saying this my English friends. By the way – you have much better beer and you have Salt & Vinegar crisps

…. sitting here zippin some coffee waiting for break of dawn.

Today I need to buy those golden running shoes that is going to take me through these next three months and then hopefully through the London Marathon.
