New Year – new coffee – New SHOWER

January 2, 2008

Ahhhhhhh…. nothing like waking up and you know in the back of your mind that you can go and take a shower….. A NORWEGIAN SHOWER…. i.e. Power shower with water that doesn’t smell of chlorine. Sorry for saying this my English friends. By the way – you have much better beer and you have Salt & Vinegar crisps

…. sitting here zippin some coffee waiting for break of dawn.

Today I need to buy those golden running shoes that is going to take me through these next three months and then hopefully through the London Marathon.

New Years Eve – any resolutions?

December 31, 2007

After Great Run 2007 Hyde Park HI -  2007 is soon coming to a close.  Its been a good year for me – I have completed some runs – however just small ones and the 10k Greatrun in Hyde Park being the longest.   I need to step it up for 2008 and the Marathon.      A little scary.

I need to get some proper running shoes as well as setting up some good routines for warming up- stretching as well as knowing when to rest.  Otherwise I ll end up injured and I wont have any fun at the end of April 13th.

Tomorrow. Its the day when it all starts.

Higdon…

December 19, 2007

I can barely run a 10k in 50 mins…. I need to dramatically improve!!

Need a training plan…  I hear people talk about Hal Higdon ……. http://www.halhigdon.com/marathon/Mar00novice.htm

Welcome to my blog featuring my thoughts on the way to London Marathon 2008 April 13th.  The charity I am running for is Shelter – www.shelter.org.uk/- Shelter’s vision is that everyone should have a home – somewhere decent, safe, affordable and permanent.
